Bandsaw blades

I have a 14" Sears bandsaw.
Broke the blade on Friday and going to order a new blade before the day is out. Just want to see what the other members here think is a good blade.

The blade length is 99 3/4" if that matters.

Lets hear what the experts say is the best. :biggrin:

I've stuck with Ellis for years. Tried a Wood slicer and it was the worst money I ever spent.

I really like the Wood Slicer made by Highland Woodworking. I've use some of the really "pricey" bandsaw blades and I've had better results with the Wood Slicer than any of the Olsen, Timber Wolf, Etc.

He was referred to me by a production turner who uses lots of blades, I have been pleased with his service, quality, and pricing.

I have the same saw, and the same issue! I just finished ordering two of their woodturners blades and a woodslicer. We shall see how they work out! I was going to buy a smaller higher tpi blade for segment work, but I think either of this should work fine.

I bought some Timberwolf blades when Penguin did his group buy a while ago and was amazed at how well they cut compared to the stock Woodcraft brand I was using.

Try a carbide band saw blade. Very expensive but cheaper in the long run.
