Bandsaw Blades
I have the Porter Cable 14 2 speed band saw it use's 93 1/2 blades
I am still using the one that came with it and looking to upgrade,
I am wanting to try bandsaw boxs and little stuff.
Any input on brands, teeth per inch, width?

Just wondering what you guys are using.

For bandsaw boxes, I've used Timberwolf blades from Suffolk Machinery with pretty good results in 5-6" thick hardwood material. For cutting tight curves, I use a 3/16 x 10 tpi with the Carter blade stabilizer. This allows the blade to twist readily for flowing curves. I have also used 1/4 x 6 or 8 tpi with conventional guides. One can still cut a pretty tight curve but the blade will not wander as much. (Suffolk prices direct are much less expensive than buying through WW stores in my experience and they ship quickly)

I've been buying from WoodCraft Bands for years. For bandsaw boxes I use a 3/16" 10TPI

Absolutely. WoodCraft Bands are by far the best bang for your buck blade I've found. It's all I use now.

A little tip though, call him. Not the best at working a computer but will talk your ear off on the phone but you'll get exactly what you need at a terrific price.

Ok I think I wasted 2 blades fast.....
when tuning the bandsaw per youtube videos no one touchs on the cooling block set up and I had the blades all the way past the front of those blocks upper and lower thinking it was how to control drift
when rubbing upward on the blades now they feel dull, dont cut worth a crap, when setting those up the teeth on the blades need to be forward of those blocks correct?

Yes, the blocks line up just behind the bottom of the gullet of the teeth. The guide blocks should not touch the teeth under load- the blade will try and move backwards a little when cutting.

I use timber wolf 1/2 6tpi and 1/2 4tpi for all of my blank cutting. I have not tried a bandsaw box though. I would get something a bit small with more teeth for that.
