Pen #1
Kit: Hybrid Cigar with Gold and Black Tn plating with a Parker refill.
I call the blank a Simple Sapele Sandwich. The burl started of as a single piece of about 1.5" by 3/8" by 6". I believe it is Flame Box Elder Burl. It was a piece of scrap I was able to pick up about a year ago from a local luthier. I sanded it smooth, cut it length wise and sandwiched a piece of scrap Sapele in between. CA finish.

BREAKING NEWS !!!!

Due to the overwhelming number of entries into the Ball Point Pen contest along with how close the votes are right now, we will be having a run-off after the end of this first round of voting. Honestly, I'm glad I'm ineligible to vote in this contest as it would be very difficult to pick the best one. Every entry has brought its' own unique quality for everyone to see. Hats off to each of you who have entered!
Stay tuned for updates....please make sure you have voted~
Cheers
Bob

Nope I've just came from the kitless contest. Nothing but crickets over there. They left a note though, something about going to the movies.

Seems pretty quiet over here. Where's all the excitement? I guess everyone is hanging out over at the kitless contest......

With so many entries it takes awhile to do a really good job evaluating the skill and craftsmanship of each of our artists. Too bad we're so busy here, I really liked that movie that is going around right now. Wish I had the time to make one, but someone did send me a picture of a couple of contest organizers. Anyone know who they are?

This is classic !!!! I just realized how dangerous a guy who has administrative authority can be. It's like playing one-on-one with Micheal Jordan.

Thanks for all the votes on #18--even though my pen is sixth in the voting, I am psyched! So many awesome pens and my simple corn-cob was in the running.

Regards,
Michael
