Bakelite??

I'm looking for a rod or two of Vintage Bakelite and/or Catalin Bakelite.

"Wifey" is a chemist, and close to telling her bosses: I QU.T!!!

She is a specialist in Urethanes, and I thought I'd look for making her a pen in some vintage material close to her speciality. Bakelite is supposedly the first material as a synthetic plastic. She has most of my previous pens, so this would be a nice addition.

Mark have you done any searches on eBay? There are a number of listings. Some are reasonably priced and some are too high to be reasonably priced. Kieth, mburls, has some vintage materials for sale. Most is gone but there is some Casine left. He may have some he hasn't listed yet.
