Greetings from Nebraska.

Our internet and TV service was finally restored this afternoon (Friday) following a storm that came through Wednesday afternoon. Lots of trees came down in our little part of the neighborhood including a huge Ash that clipped the corner of our house on it's way down. It also tipped a Semi on it's side just South of our house. One of the local power company guys said he saw it and that it was a tornado that came through our neighborhood. I don't know for sure, but the swath of damage was in a pretty straight and narrow line through the neighborhood, so perhaps. The other tell for me was a brief shower of hail right before the wind hit - and it was very sudden! Anyway, no casualties in our area and not nearly as much devastation as our neighboring states had a week ago especially in Kentucky - what a sad deal.

I spent the past two days cutting on the tree so that the roofing and siding guys can get access to the damage. Fortunately it was all external for us, but some of the houses not too far away had their entire roofs taken off.

Anyhow, it's good to be back online again.

Dave

Wow, Dave . . . . sorry to see the damage to your house ! . . . . looks reasonably serious to me ! !

Hope you have insurance to cover the cost of repairs.

Glad to have you back online again.

I am glad your damage was not worse and you are safe. I am saddened at all the destruction the storms did this past week. Not a good portend for the future.

Glad you are OK. Kinda hate to say it, but it looks like you got off pretty easy for a tornado. They are definitely no joke. There's no stopping mother nature when she gets going. I understand there was a tornado that stayed on the ground for 200 miles during those storms. Wow!
