Its nice to be home!!!!

I had to go to Ft. McMurray Canada about a month ago for a family emergency situation. Due to that emergency my parents decided they would be moving to Virginia. So packing and moving them and my younger brother took quite a bit of doing. During what turned out to be a great debacle across the states, I learned a few interesting things. Whenever the worse possible time arrives the U-haul truck your driving will break down. Driving through Minneapolis.... hoping to make up enough time to stop by exotic blanks the transmission goes out. Completely out as in were not going no more. Call them and U-haul is nice enough to bring us a replacement truck 5 hours later, with absolutely no help unloading or reloading truck. Needless to say I am not exactly happy about the situation. So truck is reloaded and off we go for about 3 hours then the car hauler breaks down. I call uhaul back they can replace it in another 4 hours. I give em location and drop hauler and take off..... after all its broke whos gonna take it??

We get into Wisconsin and for some reason nobody drives faster than 30 miles an hour in this state. Completely through Wisconsin is a statewide traffic jam across whatever highway were on. Completely blows my time to sneak by exotic blanks..... Now I am more upset.

Arrive in Virginia finally and house they are going to get isnt ready yet. Everything must go into storage. Yep thats me.... moving stuff again. Got to stick around for 2 weeks for house to be ready then move them in. During that 2 weeks my cousin came up for a visit. That night her car caught fire and burnt to the ground. She had to get back to Fort Belvoir so I took her home. Dang theres alot of people in DC!

I am glad I got to spend some good time with my parents though. I think they needed some good laughs. We always seem to have a good time. Wish the situation would have been under different circumstances. I cant completely understand how they feel, but know I have a great emptiness now from the loss of a loved one.

I lost my best friend during Desert Shield. I came home to tell his parents was the only thing that compares to this.

Sorry for the rambling...... just needed to get some things off my chest.

Did I mention its good to be home?
