going through the stuff i have accumulated at my desk in the last five years..i found a couple of random pieces of red malle burl ...i was lucky that they matched...i the cap has a turned and threaded piece of ebonite for an insert...

Oh, wow! That is an absolutely stunning pen. You did right by letting that burl take center stage. I love the shape and the streamlined design. If I had a pen like that, I'd never get anything done. I'd just sit and stare at it all day! Fantastic work!
