Canada is helping out too - there was an article in the news today about how both Canada and Australia are lending a hand to the cash-strapped US firefighters in Washington.
It's a tough year - and El Nino will make it worse in BC (no snow pack to slowly melt and provide moisture)...

Sorry, Canada, did not see that clip, they have also been there for us, love having then between USSR and us. Was deployed there to Cold Lake back in the 80's, treated us like brothers and sisters.

El Ninio will will cause a lot of mud slides a will cause flooding in some area. In Northern California unless we get a lot of snow to melt slowing over the spring and summer it won't do us much good long term.

Also New Zealand. AND, we sent firefighters to Australia in 2008 and 2010 (I heard). Been a cooperative relationship for many years actually.
