We are leaving here on the 30th and will be there until Monday morning. We are not setting up but are there for some trading and buying. I think Terry runs some of the best shows. Hey even if you don't go to buy the Saturday evening auctions are a blast, probably better than going to a comedy club. Looking forward to seeing you and Nancy again. Give Lady a pat from us.

Lady is bad as ever. All she does now is crawl up on my lap. She thinks shes a lap dog. At 125lbs right. But she is great. Just cannot take her to the shows anymore because her tail will wipe-out a table.

It would be cool to see one of these bigger shows sometime... I'm surprised here in Colorado there don't seem to be any.

Sounds like fun!

I am SO glad someone made a post about this. I had totally forgotten about the show! Gonna try to come out on Sat if anyone wants to meet up. It'd be awesome to put some faces with names.

The shows are a blast and it is educational. One you are going to see all kinds of pens. Elite custom crafted pens like those of Alan Shaw and Brian Gray. (yes there are others of you out there and my apologies for not mentioning you) New extravigant designs by Omas and Montegrappa. Vintage pens that are worth thousands. You can watch pen people work their tables. If you plan on doing shows in the future this is very helpful. You can watch masters such as Richard Binder and Ron Zorn at work. And if you are real lucky you just might go home with a real treasure.

Good idea Phil. I just sent a text to my wife (who's at work right now) asking if she wanted to go. She's off the weekend, but we'll see what's up when she gets home in the A.M. She'd be better off going so she can control the $ bc I know I could spend a chunk REAL fast there!

Is there a site that lists the big pen shows? I doubt I can work a visit to one in this year, but maybe next.

We got down here safely. We did not leave until 1:00am got down to atlanta at 6:30pm. Stopping only for breakfast and lunch. Hopefully I can sleep tonight. I can still feel the road.

Alan - relax and enjoy. You can worry about what production runs you need to do when you get home. When you enjoy the show the patrons enjoy being around you and spend more $$$$

Personally I love a long vehicle ride. My seats are heated and it is a much welcome warmth for my back.

Best of luck to you two, now go get some rest.

The first day here has been good so far. Today is manly dealer set up. I have a gut feeling this may bee a great show this year. Right now its just a feeling. I signed on a new dealer that is buying 15 pens. Which is a good start. We will see how the weekend fairs out. There are four turners here. There pens look good all priced similar no huge
variations we are with 20.00 to 30.00 which is good to see.

Had a GREAT time on Sat. Alan, you and your wife were very kind and it was awesome getting to meet you both. I also ran into a few members from the atl meetings and it was great seeing them as well. I had a old parker refurbished and now it's writing beautifully! Even broke down and BOUGHT () a pen. Shea bought herself one also.

Jonathon

Good meeting you and your wife. Good to meet alot of new friends and old ones as well.
The show was good. Added a new dealer.
