You will probably say,
"OH NO not another antler casing pen and not a very good one at that!"
THIS one is DIFFERENT!
For those who haven't made one or have no interest you may as well go to another page.
For those of you who have made casing pens before this one may interest you.
It is a prototype to see if an idea I had worked.
You could even say it is "new and innovative"
The shell is an unaltered 30-06.(other than drilling no "swedging of the neck)
The difference?
It has a Parker refill in it.
(Smugly and self-righteously) I would like you show you my "innovation"(If it has been done before I haven't seen it.)
It is not my best work but is a pretty good idea. I have some 30-06 casings coming back from a friend who plated them gold for me.
30-06 is a common caliber for hunters around here.

Okay, I, for one, am impressed. It looks surprisingly familiar.

Major differences though... 308 casing and Cross refill!

The point of making this comparison is because it appears you used SL components to make a Parker pen. [:D][^] Now you have me thinking.

18 Karat and he only plates a few at a time for me.
It takes an act of God and the alignment of the planets to get them done

<br />What is a parker refill? Which pen kits.
A Parker refill is the larger style normally found in 8mm kits.
Perfect fit, american flattops, Pk,mon par, polaris, Sierra, just about anything that is not a slimline or a roller ball is a Parker refill kit.As you can see,all the parts in the pen I pictured are slimline. That size lends itself well for a 30-06,308,300winmag and others.
For those intersted in making casing pens I suggest you ask around what calibers hunters and shooters in your area use.
If you put on your thinking caps and come up with the mechanics you can make a pen out of just about any caliber. That will lend itself to custom work.[^]
