I am looking for some pen blanks of Aspen.
I need ten (10) pieces - soon I prefer Burl if possible.
I have a customer that insists on this wood.
Thanx for looking!
(At least 3/4 x 3/4 x 5")

OR where can I find some??

Would your Menards in Columbus have aspen in stock? Probably no burl, though. If not, I have enough aspen in my cutoff bin that I would send for the cost of shipping and a trade for something you have in excess. Pretty sure I don't have any burl, though.

I just googled aspen and learned the species is struggling across the country. Scientist are looking for a cause of why the forests are loosing trees.
 
Here in the west Aspen is a nursery tree in that it shelters the young pines from
The sun. Most aspen trees only live around 20 years. Aspen is very prone to disease.
Not sure i would try a pen out of it the wood is very soft. It is an easy woodburning wood though
 
I don't have any burl but I do have some aspen blanks cut at an angle to the grain. They are 3/4" to 7/8" square and 5" to 5.25" long. Four of them are stabilized but the rest are not. I can sent them to you if you want. They were left over from an order where the customer supplied a log from a special tree to his family. I have no use for them so they are free if you want. Just pm me where to send them and they're yours.
 
Here's a picture of them. The first 4 are stabilized with cactus juice but all came from the same log. With the shorter pieces there should be enough for 11 pen or at least a good back up if you don't find anything else.
