Made this set today for some friends that are getting married in September. This is the first time I've turned Asian satinwood, and it has some awesome curl. Turned and drilled fairly easily. Fun to make, but pens are still my favorite!

Great job! They look terrific.

I bought two Asian Satinwood blanks yesterday. One of them is simply a stunner... the figure wraps all the way around the blank without even diminishing in the slightest degree on any side. It's going to make a KILLER pen if I don't mess it up!

I have some 35 yr old Satinwood veneer which is similarly figured. I have hoarded it!! I probably ought to make something out of it!!
