I made a set of pens for the vice president of my company. He saw an article in the company newsletter about my hobby and asked me to make a matching pair for him and his son. When he said he liked the cigar pen in my case and the black ash burl on another pen, I suggested he go with the black TN cigar. NOpe, he likes the black chrome. I think came out nicely, I cant wait to give them to him.

Great looking set of pens Glenn, I am sure he will be thrilled.
Good looking burl as well. The job secutity thing isn't bad either. Well done!

Very nice looking pens, Glenn. The photography is nice as well. I hope you get some more leads from the newsletter. That sounds like a good idea.

WOW!

Those are some nice pens. What type of finish is on them?
Where did you get the kit? the wood? I'd love to make one like that.

Yes, Glenn or someone??? Where are the black chrome kits sold??? That's a beauty of a kit. Also, do they come in slimline and/or other kits---if so, same distributor???

A bunch of folks are now carrying the black chrome including Arizona Silhouette, Woodturninz, Pens of Color (I think). It's the hot new finish, so you can expect to see it on most of the kits.

I can't speak for the cigars, but the Atlas kits I have appear to be either powder coating or high impact plastic. Very substantial and scratch resistant.
