Arthritis pen take 2

[Old Goat]

Prototype #2 for the arthritis pen (poplar). After looking at some stuff people posted here and at facebook, then I let him try it out, we adjusted. I made the centerband longer and out of oak (had to glue it to the top so the mechanism still grabbed) and put grip ridges in the bottom barrel. Also did a rougher finish than CA to make it easier to handle. Added a picture of the original to compare.

Working with the customer is great relations. Plus, you have the advantage of real life experience that the customer brings to the table. I am sure this customer has other folks with the same handicap and will most likely spread the word.

I wonder if a gel cartridge would work better for someone with arthritis, as it doesn't take as much pressure to apply the ink? Might be another consideration, obviously with a different type of kit.
