Are Atlas and Polaris close enough for...

inter mixing the kits? I turned a blank with a Polaris tube glued up and then got to thinking that a different color kit would look better than the Polaris I have. The problem is the Polaris is pretty limited on it platings and I would really like to put a Black Ti Atlas kit on this blank.

You should be fine, the tubes are the same size and I think the bushing are the same too, but I'm not 100% sure about that, anyone?

Can you measure the size of the nib and cap from each set with a micrometer? If so, that should tell you whether the parts can be intermixed. Otherwise, we'll have to wait for someone with both kits to come along (I think I have two Polaris kits at home, and can measure them tonight if no one responds before then; just drop me an E-mail to remind me, please).

Should be OK as tubes are the same. Mic the cap and nib to be sure.
