Finished this last week and am very happy with how it turned out.
I still have the centre of the blank to do something with, and that is happily waiting.
This bowl is 8" 2.75" and finished with Shellawax "Glow"
Hope you like it and Thanks for looking.
C & C welcome.

Is not often that we find an apricot tree capable of producing such a bowl blank size, if I recall correctly, I think that I only manage that one blank out of the tree, the wood was extremely soft from being dead for a long time, the tree was "suffocated" by an English Ivy climbing plant the "sucked" the nutrients, right out of the tree...!

Bad for the tree owner, good for me and for my friends...!:biggrin:

Very interesting grain, the spalting on it, didn't turn the wood black but, by the contrary, it made the vivid grain colours to fade, as it soften...!

You done a great job on it mate, is good to see my woods being transformed into beautiful pieces, by people I admire and respect...!

PS: I haven't seen much of your work lately but, you are catching up now, aren't you...??

Cheers
George
