First one is waterfall figured Bubinga. Second is Alaskan yellow Cedar burl. Both are CA.

The cedar is spectacular. I can't wait to add some great timber to the Apex kits I recently purchased. Nicely done, mate.

It's a great kit but fussy. I had to drill out the hole where the plunger goes through, just fractionally, or it gets stuck. I also don't put a finish on the plunger and it has to be perfectly flat. Good luck.

I like! That cedar burl is awesome, and the shape of the bubinga one matches the components beautifuly. Your next one should be yellow cedar burl, shaped like the bubinga one. :)

Thanks a lot for all the comments, guys. Yeah, to be honest, I don't know that I will make any more of the Apex. It's a cool kit but it's fussy and finicky. For all the fuss, there are a lot of other kits to choose from.
