One thing I've heard is they are pretty under powered. Heard they wont cut through a standard 3/4" blank without bogging down. Just something I heard from a previous post. The Triton may be the best bet of the miniatures though.

G'Day John,

Like Mike I have Triton 2000 work center and the 2400 watt Triton saw mine is 240 volt.
When I first got the table I mounted my Makita circular saw in it but got sick of taking the saw out of the table every time I needed to cut some thing free hand.
So I bought the Triton saw ( I'm a toolaholic by the way, I don't need much of an excuse to by another toy.)

The Triton has a lot more grunt than the Makita and will cut the hardest desert timber around here.
Until I got my band saw I used the Triton to cut my bowl blanks, I would cut 3" one side then flip it over then cut the other side. That way I could get a 6" deep blank. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS.
I have bogged my 2hp band saw down but never the Triton saw.
It is easy move around, I have seen a quite a few contractor using them on building sites etc.

2006 Catalogue says U.S.of A. telephone number is 1 888 874 8661 or www.triton.com.au
Hope this helps you.

Cheers,
Bob.

Sorry fellas, I thought he was talking about one of those micro mini table saws. the ones with the little blade, like 1 1/2" or whatever. My mistake. Sorry.
