Good afternoon,

If anyone is interested in a tour of the USS WASP LHD-1, please shoot me a PM and we can try to set something up. We are here for fleet week and will be here until the 30th. We are moored very close to the INTREPID.

I pulled too much cable on the Wasp when I was an electrician. Hooked too much stuff up, I think I will pass on that (since I am in VA).
 
All joking aside if you get a chance for a tour, it is a cool ship. If I remember right there have been 10 other (including 2 aircraft carriers) with the name Wasp. Winston Churchill once stated about a ship with the Wasp's name, "Who said a wasp can't sting twice?" Or something like that. I built the work schedule for the last big ship yard period for it, and I like learning some of the history of the ships.
