I have seen articles in various magizines regarding router fixtures for lathe.

Does anyone on here have a fixture setup to use a router with their lathe? If so, would you post some pics of your setup?

I am thinking about fluting on bowls and spindles.

Thank you.

Find a copy of Taunton's The Lathe Book, ISBN 1561580570 published in 1993. Pg 131-133 has what you are looking for.

I found a copy in Half Price Books for about $5.00.

Here is a thread from Skiprat that shows his setup. http://www.penturners.org/forum/showthread.php?t=73333
Go down to #18

Keep in mind, that Rube Goldberg looking rig of Skippy's is variable on at least 3 axis, with another two angle adjustments thrown in to make your head ache trying to calibrate it. That's a bit different than a rig to run a router down a table leg or flute a pilaster.

This is the jig I've been think about. They sell it with or without the router. I keep hoping to find someone who actually has it. I looked around last week at the woodworking show and found nothing.

I often mount a router on my metal lathe, but they can just as easily be used on a wood lathe. In fact the main purpose of the lathe is just for the indexing. Have a look at this thread and you'll see what I mean.
