I'd say from it's intended useage it probably won't due for pens. The are recommending it for woods likely to be used in model making rather than pen turning. And it isn't defined as useful for any metal bonding.
 
SIG is A manufacturer from Iowa. They carry CA glues, this particular glue is made of resin an will not work for the finish, but will work for gluing your segments together. The thing here is that it costs more $5 an OZ. I buy my CA from Exotic Blanks, $28 for 16oz and I use it for everything, segmenting, tubing, finishing, gluing up fingers, etc.
What I have noticed is that ,here in the tropics the Thick glue isn't that thick.
