Anybody have the Barry Gross buffing kit?

This may sound like a stupid question,but I just got this kit,and it comes with a flannel wheel,and a cottom wheel.They are not marked. One is beige in color,the other one's bright white.

They both feel super soft.In the instructions,they both look the same to me.In one picture,it looked like the one on the left was beige on the side.So that's the why I set it up,with the blue compound stick used on the left side.

I've never buffed before,and it turned out nice,but it bugs me that maybe I've got it wrong.Hoping someone here has the same kit and can let me know?

Flannel is normally used for wax -- less structure in the buff.

Then I think I have it right,as the bright white one on the right that's dry does have less structure to me.I guess when it talks about cotton,my first thought is white in color.
