Has anyone used the custommade site for their work? I stumbled across it somehow and started the sign up process but am a little leery of having to connect to wepay and give out my social security number number and bank info. I've read mixed reviews about wepay. I only found older reviews on the custommade site when apparently they were charging a monthly fee and now it looks like they just charge a 10% commission on any sales. Just wondering what others think of it?

I was with custommade for 3years and only made a few bucks. Payments used to be simple, the artist makes the arrangement with the customer they agreed to and it's done. Custommade takes their cut when project is completed and everyone is happy.
I had extensive emails going back and fourth regarding wepay and the SS#. They finally said it is because of the Patriot Act they need the SS#. I finally told them I'm a small one man co. trying to make a few $$ and besides you'll have all my banking information and I don't feel comfortable giving my $$# along with the rest of my personal info. All they said was sorry we need your SS#. Needless to say I 'm no longer with customermade.

I've been with them for a few years but have pretty much given up on them.

I did pick up 2 long term wholesale customers through them, but the rest has been so-so at best and they take a big chunk plus whatever you lose on payment processing.

Thanks for the feedback, I think I'm going to pass for now. I just wasn't comfortable with the whole SSN thing and since I'm small time as far as selling, it doesn't sound like it's worth it.
