Rather than check all of the reputable sources that I accumulated over the 4 months, I thought I would ask you. I completed close to my 100th pen, and I want to reward myself (and introduce to my customers) a long single barrel or double-barrel stainless kit (with a postable cap). I know of our many customer-centric suppliers that sell them, but was looking to short-cut my esearch and see if any knew of a sale on SS kits. Initially, I would not buy more than 5. I am not interested at time time in FPs, just roller-balls an ball points.

Thanks for reading and your assistance.

Actually, only one place makes them - lazerlinez.

Classic nib sells some special variations.

Woodcraft carries a few

Smitty carries the liberty ballpoint.

No sales anywhere that I'm aware of.

Tony;
You will not go wrong carrying the Stainless Steel pens. They sell well here in Texas as many of my customers like buying "American-Made" pens. Huge selling point!

I only want to make them if I can get a premium for them (well over and above the additional cost of the SS kit). So if I get 50 for a pen (non SS) and the SS kit cost me 20. I would not sell for less than 90 depending on the blank. I am not sure my limited client base will go for it. They appear happy with the none SS. I did want to make one for my dad and possibly myself. Thanks for the feedback!

I sold 2 liberty and a fountain pen in stainless on Saturday. Got another fountain one to finish this week.

lazerlinez is showing a discount price, but is back ordered

If it were a double barrel or single barrel with a postable cap. I would take it. I am not a fan of the Liberty - just not my taste. Keep using the buffer. When you are done send me the mandrel with 2 cotton balls hanging off of it LOL. No rush on the buffer....enjoy it.

You know what. You have a choice...use the buffer as long as you like, or send me the two Liberty kits and keep the buffer as long as you like. :-)

Besides the single barrel, does anyone know of someone who stocks these kits? Laserlinez cannot keep up with demand...if you know anyone with a current inventory, I would be interested. I've sold every one I ever made immediately because of the made in USA thing and the fact that there is no plating to fail.

I know this doesn't help you today, but Lazerlinez does run sales. If you subscribe to their site, you'll get notices. Recently they had the eagle on sale. It's my favorite rollerball/fountain kit.

It helps.LL is about 2 miles from my home. I will wait for a sale. Thank you.
Nothing has to be done today .....or tomorrow :-).

That is a great price. I want something with a cap though. Heck of a deal though!

I've been eying the "Posiedon" from Woodenpenpro. That's not a Laserlinez, though, is it?

Sharp looking. Anyone built one?

Gary

I had not heard of this pen so I took a look. It appears to me that it is not a stainless steel pen. It comes in comes in Chrome, Gold or Black Titanium. It has "Stainless Steel Ink" whatever that is. I cannot find an explanation or definition of Stainless Steel Ink.

It's a little confusing now that I go back and look at their site. It shows Chrome, Gold, Black Titanium or Stainless Steel Ink. I just assumed the Stainless Steel Ink was an all stainless pen.

It *is* a nice looking pen, I'll have to find out more.

I emailed woodenpenpro, and Jimmy there confirmed that:

"The parts that look stainless are indeed solid stainless...no stainless plating here."

I like the style, I'll probably try one and give it a review here.
