Can you be more specific? I have several sets of mini files in my workbench drawer that I use on pens for different things. If that's what you mean?

Instead if using a Turing tool to get that last part. Lessen the sanding

In my opinion this is not a good idea. Files are brittle and if you should get a catch and yes it can happen, that file could break and send pieces who knows where. I say learn to use a proper tool such as a skew.
