Here are a couple of pan stands that I just finished.

First is curly maple and whitetail antler.

So what do you do to the stand? Are you sanding it at all? Buffing it? Putting any kind of finish on it? I have a piece of antler that I want to make a pen out of for the person who gave it to me, and I think there'll be a good piece left that I could make a stand like this, but I don't know how to make it into a stand. Yours look great!

Great job. I really like the curly maple. Are the antler parts glued on or are they attached with some sort of hardware? If they are glued on what did you use?

The wood is sanded to 180 grit, deft sanding sealer, and gloss laquer. I didn't buff the pieces as they were pretty smooth already. The antler pieces are screwed to the base from the bottom.

Thanks for the info Jeremy. I've showed these to the wife and I now have the Father-in-law and Grandfather-in-laws's Christmas presents figured out. I'm shopping for a router table now and I'll have a chance to use a router I've owned for a couple of years, but never have. Great work and thanks.
