I knew you could! This is a sample I received from Nuiqsut yesterday, still very bloody and they have a bit of a smell to them right now.......my dog has been circling the crate ever since I got it home. I'll dry these out before attempting to turn them, turning green antler is a smell no one should have to deal with and it will shrink some. That shrinkage will lead to a crack if it's not dried first.

LOL there is no need to straiten it Dr. The longer ones are about 3 foot long. One of the nice things about caribou, it's very loong beamed.

Half the team is down.......gunning the rest on there next practice run. Not sure which half, dont really care to know dinners name!

SloLouie:
I base it more on color and weight than time. These will probably sit till spring, about 5 months. Summer they dry more quickly and the thinner antler will be done a bit sooner than the heavy stuff. Sheds often need very little if any dry time.

I'll bet the Eye Tines are about the right size for most kits, those beams look huge, how big are they in diameter? I've wondered about Caribou and Reindeer antler.

About 2 inches........suposed to get some "as think as your wrist" and a bunch of moose antler next trip. I am not a little guy, cant wait to see the next batch!
