Pretty special pen that one ! somehow the metalwork looks "blue" on my screen ,but the timber is probably how it should be , I have seen some "buckeye burl" with almost that amount of character ,the stuff I have here is dark grey mostly well done on that one the noveau is a standout pen to play with cheers ~ John

Thanks for the comments everyone. This was the first piece of amboyna I had to stablilize with thin CA. While drilling I hit a few soft spots. I am very happy with the way it turned out. I called my friend who had picked this kit and blank and jokingly told him I may just keep this one for myself.

Beautiful chunk of Amboyna. I too, thought that it was BEB. I'm not a fan of that kit, but it still makes for a beautiful pen.
