Another twisted stick

Hey fellas,the weather been nice so I took a some breaks outside and made another stick.This ons a 4 sided twisted ballpoint.I had some birds eye maple laying about so I thought I see what it would look like.Alt of the eyes turned away which was disappointing.Got a pretty good taper to it which I call a sucess cuase it gets a little bendyat that point.The front section is made from a piece of curly maple which is far more absorbant.After turning and sanding I wiped it all down with natural stain and then with mahogany flame stain.Then went over that with spray laquer.

Did you turn that using an off-center mounting technique ? . If so, I wonder if our library could use an article about that.
