Another Tree ID

I was told when I moved here to Silver Maple Lane that this was one. Anyone know what it really is. The fuzzy thing in pic 3 is fuzzy, looks like a worm later, and clogs windshield vents really well. The wood is very soft and when it gets wet, I think you can watch it rot. Any ideas? Thanks.

To me it looks like European White Birch.

Eric, thanks for the response. After the leaves come out I'll show them also. This group of trees are the only ones I know of in the area. It makes georgous looking wood, but it's soft. Thanks.
