It seems as though I work on a number of blanks at the same time as I start a new blank while waiting for the glue to dry. Then I end up with a number of blanks ready to turn at the same time. This weekend was turning time! I've already shown one blank which I discarded and the second of my "fraternal twins"

This one uses the same small pieces as the discarded blank, but assembled in as a zigzag :

That's a superb design Steve. I do like the zigzag. I realize all too well that as the pieces get smaller, the margin of error for symmetry gets much more difficult. Your alignment for the points next to the white veneers is excellent as is the top to bottom match.

Keep up the excellent work. I'm enjoying seeing these.
