The only bad question is one not asked Rodger. I think 150 is about the norm. I believe Lowe's and Home depot both have these. I think at Home Depot it's marked as fine. It doesn't have to be the white stone.

Thanks Billy....didnt think it had to be the white stones....was mostly wondering about grit....have seen 60 60 120 grit stones advertised and wasnt sure which to buy

80 or 120 should be just fine. You don't "NEED" to have a colored wheel; but there is a greater possibility of doing heat damage to your tools with the common gray wheel (silicone carbide).

was gonna try to find the white wheels at Lowes or home depot if they have them but if not will get what i can afford......but all is on hold for now til job market opens up again
