Wanted to say hello from Wisconsin …

Been a scrollsawer for a number of years and have been wanting to try wood turning, so …. bought myself the Delta 46-460 as a Christmas present. Looking forward to learning from the experienced experts on this board.

Currently reviewing a Barry Gross "Learn To Turn" book and a Richard Raffan "Turning Wood" DVD and … looking to get with a local turning club.

Tom – the turning adventure begins

Is there a limit to the number of "cheese heads" on the site?:biggrin:

Just being a smartalec. Welcome from a "flatlander".

Hey Tom!!

IAP meets at WoodCraft in Milwaukee about once each quarter. I don't think we finalized a date for the next meeting, but watch the "Wisconsin" forum around late Feb, and beyond. (Good chance of free blanks at the meeting!!)

Welcome!!!

Welcome Tom,
You will have to watch out for most of your fellow cheeseheads though. They keep forgetting that they are made of Swiss cheese, especially those that area tad south of Milwaukee, (oops, sorry Dawn, Ed, Dean, and Dave)
Actually, I'm not sorry so pfft.

Anyway, there are some good people in your area. Hope you stick around for a while in spite of my rotten (to others!!!) introduction

Welcome from Washington state. Hope to see some of your work soon and looking forward to learning from you. I've got a great friend that lives in West Allis.

Welcome Tom from West Kentucky. Sorry to hear of your new addiction. For abundant info, be sure to check out the library link on the front page upper right corner. Join the fun and make some shavings.
