Hello
I have been reading this site for some time, and decided to join. I have
been in wood working for a while, mostly book cases and small furniture.
Due to health reasons I have decided to downsize into smaller projects. Pens, pendants and small bowls seem to be what I want to do. I have
read a lot of articles that have helped me so far, and plan on reading
more of this great information.
Thanks in advance for all your help
Andy

Welcome Andy. Lots of people turning pens in E TN! join in the fun. With limited space (in Japan), I had to turn my projects into smaller bites too, so I took up pen turning as a hobby and work therapy.

Below are links to two threads/articles that have lots of information on pen turning. The first one is a very basic overview of the many aspects of getting into turning pens.

The second link has postings by different pen turners and what they wish they had known earlier:

Here is another link - a PDF on the acronyms used here. I am sure you know many but this will help with those you don't.
