Cam...I have to totally agree with others, your hollow form is AWESOME! I've turned a number of myrtle projects and love how it turns and the 'surprises' the grain displays... Where do you obtain your myrtle? I purchase mine from Oregon, USA but I would imagine it may grow just fine in Australia also... Thanks for sharing and safe turning to you always!

Glorious Hollow Form, Cam.
Love the Myrtle, and Burl Insert, Great Contrast and Colour.
Excellent Proportions, Shape, Style, and Finish.
What wall thickness did you turn too?
Beautiful Work.
Brian.

Aw Shucks !

Gee Fella's,

Thanks to you all for your comments - one hell of an ego boost !!!

Old Codger - I bought the timber from Lazarides Timber Agency at Eagle farm near Brisbane airport. They do have a website but their bowl blanks arent listed.

OzTurner - I hollowed it out about 6-8 mm, didnt have the nerve to go finer. I'll make myself a laser guide soon and see what I can do with that !!

Regards,
Cam

Mate,

I am not too sure whats meant by double turn, i usually take a few hours over them spread over two or three nights.
