Another Hobby Knife

This is the hempwood hobby knife I turned live in my demo during the recent Mid Atlantic Turners Expo. My friend Markus Howell who was watching had some Pens Plus with him for his duck call demo later in the day and let me borrow it for the finish. Had never used pens plus before and it made the black dye pop nicely.

I will say I turned it a bit chubby for my liking but I tend to do that when demonstrating - I get too distracted by questions and don't finish the shaping quite good enough. But overall, I'm happy with it.

Nice work !!!! I like the shape as it gives a good hold with the concave center. Did you drill out the blank and glue the knife in ? I'd love to make one but don't know where to start. Thanks.
