I just recently joined the AAW ,since I have figured out I have been buying their magazines at Woodcraft paying the premium I could have joined and saved some money. But I did order the 5 volumes of Techniques & Projects, at the reduced members price and they came today. What an abundance of projects, tools and information that is contained in them. Lots of pen info, ornaments, stoppers, bowls, boxes and the really amazing turning projects that I personally will never attempt, but it is still educational to read how it is done.
Just an idea for the new turners that have been showing up here lately as another resource that a newbee can access. The forum doesn't get much action, yet it has some past interesting threads.
If you don't know about it or haven't checked them out you should do so.
