Have you ever had those days when you are working on making a new design or new pen and you work for hours and have nothing to show for it? Well I'm going on three days of it! Yes, I am learning, but it may be time tomorrow to step away and actually do something that will result in a pen!! Frustrated :mad:

I would say I had a weekend like that last weekend, but I did have something to show... I had a busted post on my tool rest and a shattered parting tool ( clean break in 2 spots).

I've had a whole lot of days like that in the past month & a half, but I have to keep reminding myself that a visible product isn't always necessary. Sometimes learning what not to do is just as valuable, and those mistakes made the successes all the sweeter. Hang in there!

(And be ready to remind me that I said this when I get frustrated again )

I agree with all of the previous posts but it's really nice when it all finally comes together and you have something to show for it. ;)

some days it pays to walk away from it and give it a break. then other times I just grit my teeth and force myself to do it and do it right.
