I have made toy boxes for each of my grandchildren - all different. Here is one made with a board inlaid in the top. Made out of Brazilian Cherry and Hickory. If I remember right it is 36x24x24. poor lighting!

Love it. Nice work and detail. The extra banding brings it out. What sort of lid closure did you use on it. That is a huge thing here these days. Has to be child safe and soft close. Can not lock.

Thanks John. I got them from Rockler - they are soft close, non lock, and support up to 200 pounds. Three hinges on the lid. This box is 9 years old now and have had no trouble.
