Another big one

I have a customer who just loves huge pens. He wants them as big as humanly possible. Here I did an enlarged majestic with curly maple. Here it is in comparison to a majestic with no alterations. Even I think it's too big but nonetheless he was very happy with it. Thanks for looking! Merry Christmas to all!

Nice! I also have a customer who prefers pens with "generous" proportions, and I can appreciate that making large pens come with their own challenges. Yours turned out beautifully. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, that is huge! I guess if the customer wants it that way, then why not? Certainly less likely to lose something like that on a cluttered desk. Ha, maybe that's what I need. The larger barrel does show off the curl of the wood quite well.

I would suggest you look at the full sized Majestic or Emperor kit. Admittedly more costly but the tubes are half and inch give or take and will look proportionally better when made oversize. Might make the customer even happier.

Well done. I also have a few customers who like them bigger. The statesman tubes fit the majestic kit perfectly and are longer

This is the majestic kit. I bought an extra set of tubes and put 1 and a half in the cap and then two tubes in the barrel of the pen. Used epoxy to ensure the tubes are glued in strong.

Big? I think the word is gargantuan! That is a huuge pen! The Majestic is already a big kit!

I really love the curly maple. I have some blanks of that, and I haven't figured out what pen kits to pair them with. This is a nice combination of chrome/gunmetal kit and curly maple wood.
