I posted earlier in the week about falling off a second story roof and shattering my thigh. Finally got home today so I have internet again (only had it one day in hospital). Just wanted to thank everyone for the kind words and advice.

I could feel angry or frustrated but truth is I feel strangley calm and relaxed, and have taken the time to enjoy the angels we see every day without their wings. Some angels got me breathing again, some applied traction by hand to save the blood flow in my leg, other angels took excellant care of me in the ER and up on the floor, many angels visted me with advice and just someone new to talk to, some (like my wife) has never left my side or said "I told you so", and many of my IAP angels have sent messages of encouragement and hope (one even mailed a "get well" pen blank).

I am looking forward to getting back in the shop but it will be several months it seems. One of my first projects will be a wood cane but I have several months of a walker first. Meanwhile I will be monitoring the IAP boards and others just to keep in contact with the real world.

Good to hear you are back! You did extremely well to be out by now.

Take your time...turning can wait. [;)]

I agree with you, we are surrounded by angels...always. [^]

Ray, I am so glad to see that you are home already. Great to see you have so many Angels watching over you. I think you also had one on your shoulder when you fell. Keep up the good work mending!!

Ray,

I am glad to hear that you are back and in such good spirits. I pray that your recovery is complete and as quick as possible.

Glad you are back and recovering. I had a very "minor" fall from a ladder, more of a ladder slipping and taking me down with it, but it resulted in copious blood from the scalp and other places, but no breaks. Scary - don't like ERs. Hang in there, you will be back in the shop before you know it.

Glad your back! I told you so's would be useless since this could have happened to any of us! Continue being as active as you can and keep up with your rehab. There are still angels out there who are going to help you in your recovery! The more diligent you are, the faster you can get back to your shop. Until then, the IAP forums can be your shop!! Please keep us updated on your progress. Godspeed! Kirk[8D]
