Well, I'd like to take credit for these pens...but I can't. These are two pens that my good friend turned for me and my son, both of us U.S. Navy Vets. Why did Chuck (Dalecamino) turn these for me? Because I didn't want to ruin these beauties until I get more familiar with acrylics etc. I know many of you might tell me to jump right on in, and I will after more practice. These are from some blanks that were shown here a few weeks back from one of our IAP members. It was suggested that I do these in 24kt gold, I chose Brass..like a ships bell. The piece of wood the pens are resting on is a piece of Teak Decking from the Battleship USS California.
Thanks Chuck for turning these for me and I'm sure I'll be sending you a bunch more questions as I begin my acrylic journey.
