Hello to everyone.
I'm finally getting back to the internet. I've been pretty occupied by other things.
I wanted to give an update without going into too much detail.

It started when my brother had a friend call him about one of his neighbors being wakened by police at their house at a very early hour. The neighbor didn't recognize my name when the police asked since my brother is a step brother and has a different last name. I guess it was all really weird and my brother freaked out.
He had me see his doctor and we discussed my knee problems and other things. After he found out the medications I was taking from my doctor, he said any one of them alone can give some people the thoughts I was having, but the combination I was taking was a disaster and shouldn't have been prescribed together. He changed the medications and eliminated a few that he said were unnecessary.
He then set an appointment to have a mri of my knee done so he could see what was happening. He found that there was a tear in the cartilage and a tear in the synovium with inflammation. He scheduled an appointment for a couple days later to do an arthoscopy to repair the problems. It was an out patient procedure and didn't take that long considering. He said I might not regain full use or 100% due to the damage, but it should be close.
That was a couple days ago and I can't believe how much better my knee feels. It is almost pain free and should improve as it heals and I can put weight on it without wanting to rip my hair out.

So all in all, I'm feeling much better and I'm looking forward to being able to get around again.
I'm actually going to dinner with my wonderful family tonight.

Thank you for tolerating my long post.

Great news John! Hope the recovery continues well. Yup - We were very concerned.

Thank you for the update.

Hi John,

Firstly, thank you for replying to my PM of a few days ago.

Your words on one certain post some time ago, has made many/most of us very worried and concerned about your well being, making some of us to take measures that we would normally perform however, they were all directed to the hope you would have some help before something unnecessary would happen to you so, is good to know you are getting better.

Your knee problem seems very identical to my wife's knee situation, and I know that, it can "neg" you for a long time and be extremely painful so, being told that, change of medication and other factors, are improving your situation, is good news all around.

Hope you get back to normal, soon...!

Cheers
George

I want to sincerely thank everyone for your support and kindness.
I'm glad to be part of such a community.

Our family had an incredible time last night at dinner. I think the steak was the best one I've ever had, but it meant nothing compared to being with the whole family at one time.

Everyone enjoy your weekend, whatever that means for you.

Great news, John!

Thank you so much for letting us know how you are. We were all very concerned and can now breathe a sigh of relief.

So glad that you were able to have a great time with the family. Your 'family' here wish you continued health and happiness. Sincere best wishes in your recovery!

It has been cool and damp the last couple of days and I think it is making my knee ache a little, but it is improving daily and I'm getting around much better now. Thanks for asking.

I'm going to give it a little time before I try standing at the lathe for any length of time. I do have an idea to try for a pen when I get back to the lathe.
