I got a kit for making a drawer pull and so experimented to see how it'd come out. This was made from a scrap of twisted corian that I had left over from a pen blank. It's not exactly straight, because when I went to drill through it after doing the turning, my small 1/8" drill bit that I had to use to make the kit work wandered off when trying to go through the corian. So even though this one probably won't ever grace a drawer, I was pleased that it came out.

I think it looks very nice with your choice of 'girlie' colour. That colur will look nice on a 'special pen' and will make a point of acquiring such a blank.Once you find that 1/8" mini-mandrel I'm certain that you will get better results with your next turning[;)]
