Amethyst Ring

I've been working on learning some stone setting techniques to be able to have more options to incorporate gems into my pens. This is a 3 stone amethyst ring that I finished, in sterling silver. The stones are bezel-set, which involved pushing a small "lip" of metal overtop of the edges of the stone to hold it in place.

Did you cut the stones as well or were they loose and already cut/polished?
