Ambrosia Maple Churchil

I'm not showing off my pen making skills, I'm showing off the most beautiful piece of wood I've ever worked.

it'a a piece of Ambrosia Maple I got from Arizona Silhouette. The picture doesn't capture the depth. In places it almost looks like candy apple gold under a quarter inch of clear lacquer. It didn't look like much when I got it but when It was finished and I turned off the lathe, I almost wet myself [V]
