Due to a number of different reasons I am selling off lots of the wood I have collected when I had dreams of becoming a professional pen turner. Luckily my wife is helping me and has created a website to post some stuff, groups 1, 4,6, 8, 9, 10, and 11 are available at http://burlworld.net/pen-blanks-special-sale.html. If you buy all the groups I will discount 30%. I have a box of cut offs suitable for inlays for free just pay the shipping of 15 bucks. It is full of stuff thinner than 3/4 or shorter all of it is highly figured, amboyna, chechen, redwood, buckeye, maple burl ect. If you make an order it is an extra 10 bucks this stuff is just too nice to burn or throw out.
I also have bins of prime grade stuff like maple, redwood, amboyna, and chechen burl these can be found at http://burlworld.net/pen-blanks-inventory.html. The more you buy the better the deal. The deeper I dig the more bins I find, so here goes. I have tons of redwood burl, maple burl, amboyna, buckeye, HRB, chechen, let me know what you want so these can find a good home.
Group 39: Lower right hand picture. This is jewlery grade box elder burl, very dense burl eyes over a cream almost white backdrop. This stuff takes the double dye stabilization process really well. There is 9 full blanks and 10 blanks that are about 4 inches long. I have a close up of the figure if you want you can email me at isaacrapelje@hotmail.com and I can send it to you. I sanded the 9 shorter blanks and not the fulls so they have some dark staining on the outside but they will be really nice once sanded. 25 bucks. NOW 20 bucks
SOLD-Group 40 : 10 buckeye burl blanks most jumbos and 5 shorter blanks all nice solid stuff for buckeye burl. 25 bucks.
Group 41: 10 amboyna burl blanks. These blanks are way nicer than the picture shows. I had a huge 250 lb burl slabed up 3/4 in thick and I waxed the sides with the most eyes so I didn't photo the eye side so you see is the flame side but I have turned a fair amount of these and they turn really nice. 35 bucks most amboyna is selling for about 5 bucks a more per blank.
SOLD Group 42: 11 amboyna burl blanks like 41 but the picture shows the figure a little better but they are both really nice blanks. There are also three blanks with less figure. Price is 35 bucks.
SOLD Group 44: Here is a mix of half blanks lost of red mallee, amboyna burl, chechen burl, HRB ect. Most are 3-4 inches long. I will fill the box with these prime grade blanks. -18 bucks
SOLD Group 45a and b: these are the amboyna burl with heart and sapwood that everybody is asking about. 45a are nice jumbo full blanks. The picture shows the side with sapwood the other side (email me and I will send you a photo of the other side) is almost all heartwood. Some of these have rare blue spalting in the sapwood so a true tricolor blank which is rare.

45b- 6- 3/4 blanks 3 are fulls and 3 are a little less than a full 5 inches but most are over 4 inches these have great contrasting heart and sapwood. 35 bucks
SOLD Group 47: 10 prime grade brown mallee burl. This burl has super dense eyes that are very difficult to photo, some nice blanks with sapwood.These are all 100% burl that doen't photo well. You can see a good picture of the figure on the website. I have two groups of ten like this. Most are 3/4 x 5 but some tapper a little at one end. Price is 20 bucks for 10 blanks almost half off, I have large jumbos too. You will not be disappointed.
