This is a new Amazing Grace rollerball pen from Woodturningz, in antique pewter and brass. The wood is leopardwood from Woodcraft. I love the details in the pen: the Cross clip; the dove; the olive branch, and the crown of thorns. I also love the grain patterns in the leopardwood. Very unique and distinctive. It was my first time turning it, and felt almost like end grain. I made this for a friend and her husband to sign the papers for their new house with. I'm very happy with how it turned out. The finish is Pens Plus.

I think Pens Plus was a great option for the finish. With all the texture in the metal parts, a high gloss CA finish would look out of place. The Pens Plus allows the wood to retain some texture which adds a lot of character to this pen. Excellent overall package.

That's one of the things I like about Pens Plus. It allows the texture of the wood through. I think sometimes a CA finish is too "plasticky".

I just made 1 of those a few days ago with their "exhibition'' Bethlehem olive for my grandma. Some of the other plating options they have are really nice, but dang are they a bit expensive! Very nice looking pen with the leopard wood!

How did your grandma like her pen?

Beautiful pen Jim. I've said this before, but you are steadily displaying/documenting a HUGE variety of the available pen kits. To see them finished and assembled is a very nice reference. Thank you! 👍 👍
