Aluminum Combo Pen/Pencil

This is my first pen/pencil kit and aluminum pen. I finished the aluminum by sanding with 600 grit sand paper and WD-40 then some wadding polish. I put clear PC on all the kit parts and the aluminum (I thought for sure I was going to screw up the PC but it came out fine). Everything looked great and then I had to press the pieces together. I ended up pushing the middle coupler in at an angle and bent the aluminum. But its okay, it only took me about 4 hours to make the lower barrel. Well, hear are the pics.

Thanks for all the comments. I used my 7x12 metal lathe to do the drilling, turning, and "grip". The aluminum came from www.onlinemetals.com (not affiliated) 12" of .5" diameter 6061 is only $1.26.
