Hey all,
I am looking for some information on Alumilite.
Is it heat sensitive? Do you need to pour it between certain temperatures, and once set is it hard?
What colourants can I use? Am I limited to the Alumilite brand ones?

I've been using an epoxy resin, and although the blanks are setting hard, heat is an issue. I do not put tubes in my pens, and while they are being used, heat from the hand can cause the pen to soften enough that it will bend.

It's not that heat sensitive for casting. Once it sets it's hard enough to thread. you can use just about anything to color it as long as it isn't water based. I use Testers model paint. It won't soften up with heat from your hands.
